Oxfordshire Chamber of Commerce

729 Club
The 729 Club is a new Networking Club for Chipping Norton.  The club meets from 7:00am to 9:00am (729) on the second Wednesday of every month at The Chipping Norton Rugby Club and is hosted by consummate net-workers Ken Norman and Tim Lyon of Chippy based New Tricks Training Ltd.  The philosophy of the 729 Club is that networking should be:
Serious but Fun
Structured yet Informal
Focused on Relationships (not lead generation)

Chippy Lippys
Chippy Lippys is a networking group in Chipping Norton for professional women who want to get together in a relaxed and friendly environment.  They make connections that help in both their personal and professional lives and share ideas about developing and growing their businesses.  Chippy Lippys meets on the first Wednesday of the month at the Chequers Pub in Chipping Norton from 7.30 - 9pm.  For further details please visit the Chippy Lippys website or contact Lesley Reader on 07725 655320.

WITNEY BIG BREAKFAST CLUB (WBBC)
The club was formed by about dozen local companies to help each other develop business interests within the community of Witney.  The Club holds weekly meetings where guests are made welcome and are entitled, but not pressured, to participate.  The Club hosts monthly Bigger Breakfasts at the Masonic Hall in Witney with guest speakers.  Further information and a full calendar of events is available on the Witney Big Breakfast Club website.

FEDERATION OF SMALL BUSINESS (FSB)
The largest campaigning pressure group promoting and protecting the interests of the self-employed and owners of small firms.  The FSB offers its members assistance and support 24 hours a day.  Membership fees are £70 per year for a sole trader, then based on a sliding scale according to number of employees.  For further information please visit the FSB website.

NATIONAL FARMERS UNION (NFU)
An organisation representing farmers and growers in England and Wales.  Its central objective is to promote the interests of those farming businesses producing high quality food and drink products for customers and markets both at home and abroad.  Central to this objective is its encouragement of environmentally friendly and welfare conscious farming practises and a desire to ensure the long term survival of viable rural communities.  As well as representing its members' interests, the NFU provides a wide range of services to them including help with legal, planning and taxation matters, marketing and food promotion.  For further information please visit the NFU website.

COUNTRY LAND AND BUSINESS ASSOCIATION (CLA)
The CLA's objective is to safeguard the interests of private landowners and rural businesses.  They have two main functions; exert political pressure through authoritative briefing and lobbying of policy members and to provide the best advice services for their members.  For further information please visit the CLA website.
