Health and Safety Campaigns

The Council is actively working in partnership with the Health and Safety Executive in workplace premises for which the Council has an enforcement responsibility.

Information is available on some of the campaigns that the Council is involved with, including

"Better Backs" which covers manual handling,
"Bad Hand Day" which covers dermatitis,
"Lighten the Load" which is the topic for European Week for Safety and Health, (22-26 October 2007) which concerns musculoskeletal disorders,
"Workplace transport" which covers the safe interaction of people and vehicles,
"Working at heights" which aims to reduce falls,
"Moving Good Safely" which covers all aspects of health and safety through the supply chain and
"Noise at work" which aims to minimise or control noise at work.
