Oxfordshire Rural Advice Directory
Following on from the ground breaking work of the 1999 Oxfordshire Farming Study and the 2001 Oxfordshire Food and Farming Conference, an Oxfordshire Rural Development Group was established in 2002, consisting of the representatives from the NFU, CLA, TFA and rural Oxfordshire district councils along with the County Council. The objective of the group is to promote the development of the rural economy in Oxfordshire. One key project undertaken has been to bring together, into one easy to use guide, the plethora of advice, grants, specialists and training available in the County. This has led to the production of the Oxfordshire Rural Advice Directory and is in response to the fact that many farmers reported difficulty in identifying which organisations offered support for which issues. |
