The Safety Advisory Group (SAG) brings together all the agencies that have an interest in the safety and environmental impact of public events. The group deals with events that need to be licenced as well as those that don't.

The group was established by the Council in 2006 and a report outlining the purpose of the Safety Advisory Group is on the Council web site.  The Terms of Reference can be downloaded.

The Group is Chaired by the Council (The Licensing Authority) and the following organisations:

·         West Oxfordshire District Council (Licensing)

·         West Oxfordshire District Council (Building Control)

·         West Oxfordshire District Council (Environmental Health)

·         West Oxfordshire District Council (Environmental Protection)

·         Oxfordshire County Council (Highways)

·         Oxfordshire County Council (Fire and Rescue Service)

·         Thames Valley Police (Oxfordshire BCU Operations)

·         South West Central Ambulance Trust
