The Council recognises that the local economy is dominated by a large number of small to medium businesses and is committed to doing all we can to place orders for goods and services with local businesses and organisations. To demonstrate the Councils support for local businesses, it has committed to the principles outlined in the National Small Business Friendly Concordat.
As part of our commitment to support local businesses, we now run "How to Tender" workshops which are open to all potential or existing suppliers.
The workshops are designed to provide guidance to local business on the whole tender process, including document examples, evaluation processes and general feedback. Dates for the 2011 workshop programme will be published here shortly.
