Will our club qualify as a CASC? Many amateur sports clubs will be able to register as CASCs without making any changes to the way they operate or are structured. However, some clubs may find that changes are needed before they can successfully register. Before you complete the application forms you may want to see whether your club is likely to be successful in applying for registration. You can do this by answering the following five questions.
If you can answer Yes to all five questions it is likely that you will be able to register as a CASC without making any changes. In some cases you may need to make some small changes to the way the club is organised. Information about registering as a CASC can be obtained from: the HM Revenues & Customs Telephone 0845 302 0203 or Ben Threadgold, Sports Development Manager at West Oxfordshire on 01993 861560. or Kath Leonard, Local Taxation Manager at West Oxfordshire District Council on 01993 861246.
