Gas safetyAnyone carrying out work on gas, including installation, maintenance and servicing, must be a Gas Safe registered engineer - ask to see your engineer's Gas Safe Register ID card. If they are not registered, they are breaking the law. Look for the yellow Gas Safe Register triangle. When safely installed, regularly maintained and used properly, gas installations and appliances pose few risks. However, if not managed properly then the risk of fire, an explosion or carbon monoxide poisoning is greatly increased.
