Young people in West Oxfordshire are helping brighten up the large hoardings surrounding the Marriotts Close development site in Welch Way, Witney by taking part in a poster design competition. .
Schools and youth groups have been invited to send in their drawings of West Oxfordshire life as part of a poster competition.
The first phase of the competition for primary schools has now closed. Over 120 posters were entered from six schools and a shortlist of the best has been selected. These have been enlarged and are exhibited on the hoardings along Woodford way.
The competition is now open to Secondary school age pupils. The closing date for students aged from 11 to 18 years of age to send in their artwok is 22 October 2008. Full details have been sent to art teachers and youth group leaders.
Students can also download an entry form from this page to enter.
In addition to having artwork on public display, category winners will receive a cash prize for their school/youth group, donated by Simons Developments.
