Future electionsElections in 2014The next elections scheduled in West Oxfordshire are for the European Parliament, and for 16 seats on the District Council, and all the seats on 16 Town and Parish Councils. Electoral cycle - District, Town and Parish CouncilsThe District Council has 49 seats and elections are by thirds. Cycle of other electionsPolice and Crime Commissioner (PCC) elections - the next election will be in May 2016, and then every four years. Parliamentary (General) elections have not previously taken place on fixed dates, but the government has passed legislation which creates fixed dates for general elections, subject to certain circumstances where an election can take place sooner than expected. Under the new law, the next general election will take place on Thursday 7th May 2015. Oxfordshire County Council - the next Oxfordshire County Council elections will take place in May 2017. European parliamentary elections take place every five years. The next elections will be in May or June 2014. West Oxfordshire District and the Witney Constituency are part of the South East Region for European elections. The region has 10 MEPs. Contact us
