Woodstock Town Council Election: Thursday 9 September

An election to fill a vacancy on the Woodstock Town Council has been scheduled for Thursday, 9th September, 2010, with polling hours being from 7 am to 10 pm.

Three candidates have been nominated: Linda Ann Glees, Sharone Parnes and Brian Yoxall.

Polling stations will be at the Town Hall and at The Common Room, Ryegrass, Flemings Road.

Please note that no official poll cards will be issued.

The deadline for receiving applications to vote by post was 5 pm on Tuesday 24th August; and the deadline for applications to appoint a proxy was 5 pm on Wednesday 1st September, so have both now passed.

After the proxy voting deadline referred to above, it is possible to apply for an Emergency Proxy, but this can be allowed only if it is because of a medical situation which has arisen after the original deadline, and if the application is received by no later than 5 pm on polling day. Please contact electoral services if you need advice on this.
