Each of the 49 councillors is elected for a four-year term. They decide how the District Council should carry out its many functions. Use the "clickable" map below to find out about your councillor(s). The political balance of the Council following the elections held on 5 May 2011 is - Conservative 44; Liberal Democrats 4; Labour 1.
