Do you need help with repairs in your home?

If you are a home owner or private tenant over the age of 60, or with a disability, then we could help you to remain safe and secure in your home.

Our Home Improvement Agency assists older and disabled people to live independently in their own homes in comfort and safety by organising and carrying out repairs and adaptations. We work in partnership with Oxfordshire County Council, the police, and fire and rescue services.

We undertake a wide  range of work such as:

• minor plumbing repairs and carpentry
• door & window repairs
• fitting door / window locks and door chains
• putting up curtain rails, pictures & shelving
• supply and fitting keysafes, smoke detectors & light bulbs.

We can also provide minor adaptations such as hand rails, small access ramps and steps.

The service is for home owners and private tenants but if you are a tenant we will not do work that is the responsibility of your landlord.

Advice is free but there is a charge of £15 an hour plus the cost of any materials provided (plus VAT where apropriate).

We can also assist with larger property repairs and adaptations, and provide advice on housing grants and benefits.
