What the Council is doing to save water
- The Elmfield Office building uses water butts to collect rainwater which is used in the building's toilet systems. The taps in the bathrooms turn themselves off.
- 'Save a flush' devices have been installed in toilets in other Council buildings
- Washing Council vehicles and equipment is limited to that required for health and safety and legal reasons to save water
- Encouraging our major partners to implement water saving measures
