Calling all armchair detectives - please help us identify this rubbish

All too often residents will have paid someone to get rid of their waste in the belief that it will be disposed of legally. However, sometimes these people don't have a Waste Carriers Licence and are acting fraudulently - they just take your money and dump the waste in a quiet spot in our beautiful countryside.

The fly-tip pictured on our image gallery was discovered on 26 November 2008 at the entrance to the sewage works at Standlake.

Do you recognise the waste pictured?
Is it yours or a friend's/ neighbours?

If so, you may be able to identify the person who took this waste away and help us catch the offenders. We may also be able to help reclaim the money paid for a service that wasn't carried out as advertised.

Call us on 01993 861060  or email Community Services.

Only holders of an authorised Licence can recover, transport, deposit or dispose of waste belonging to other people. Such licences are issued by the Environment Agency. Before your waste is taken away, you must ask the person to produce a licence and he must also provide you with a waste transfer notice identifying where your waste will be taken.
