Bulky household waste collections

A collection service is provided for bulky items of household waste for which a charge will be made. As the actual charge will be dependent on the number and type of items to be collected, a quotation will be given on application.

To book a bulky household waste collection phone the Town Centre Shop on 01993 861020. Please state your name, address, a daytime telephone number and the items that you would like collected. Items for collection need to be placed at the front of your property by 6.00 am on your day of collection.

Furniture reuse

Before booking a bulky waste collection for any good but unwanted furniture, please consider other furniture reuse options.

Used furniture in good condition can be taken to the Dix Pit household waste and recycling centre where it will be donated to a scheme which provides furniture for low-income households. Alternatively you could donate it to a local charity such as Emmaus, or advertise it in newspaper free ads and newsagents' windows.
