Details on taking part in, or setting up a Community Action Group

CAG Oxfordshire is a network of locally funded Community Action Groups (CAGs). CAGs work to increase awareness of waste issues and the ways to reduce the amount of resources that are thrown away. The groups aim to empower local residents to be better stewards of natural resources.

Each CAGs is unique, run by volunteers to organise events and initiatives to reduce, reuse or recycle waste, promote energy efficiency and decrease the carbon footprint of their community.

For further information and details of how you can get involved or for details of CAG events visit the Community Action Group website  www.cagoxfordshire.org.uk  or email simon.kenton@resourcefutures.co.uk

Swap Shops

Most CAGs in the district organise a number of Swap Shops throughout the year. Residents can bring unwanted, but usable household items to swap - to prevent as much as possible being thrown away in landfill. Some Swap shops also collect items such as batteries, juice cartons (TetraPaks) and light bulbs which are taken to be recycled.

When is the next Swap Shop?
