Collective energy switching scheme
Registration to join our collective energy switching scheme, to try to get lower prices from energy companies, has now closed.
If you did register your interest in the scheme, please note the following dates:
What is collective switching? As part of 'Better together Oxfordshire,' we wanted to pool together as many residents as possible who wanted to find lower energy prices and become part of the national big community switch. Once a large group of residents had expressed their interest, energy companies competed in an auction to offer their lowest energy price to win the mass of potential customers. The lowest price won the auction, and that energy company won the right to offer this price to everyone registered. Registered householders will then be sent a personalised offer from iChoosr, stating how much they will save on their energy bill if they switch. There is no obligation to take up this offer. Any new contract would be direct with the energy company, with no third party in between. For more information: |
