West Oxfordshire District Council has a responsibility to encourage a reduction in both energy use and the emission of greenhouse gases, now widely accepted as a prime cause of climate change. Through the United Sustainable Energy Agency (the new name for the Thames Valley Energy Centre), West Oxfordshire residents can access free energy saving advice, as well as services at specially discounted prices. These discounts include loft and cavity wall insulation.
United Sustainable Energy Agency provides local residents with free, independent and expert advice about saving energy in your home. The centre operates a free phone advice line (0800 512 012), with Energy Advisors ready to answer your questions.
If you have an idea for energy saving around your home, you can make a pledge and let us know how you intend to reduce your energy use. If everyone makes just a small change, it can make a big difference. Join the hundreds of others taking action - make your pledge today! To do so, please visit USEA's Energy Saving Pledge web page.
You can also complete a Home Energy Check that will result in a personalised energy advice report for your home.
The centre also operates a number of energy saving schemes delivering a broad range of energy saving products and services at discounted prices. Discounts and grants to install domestic insulation and information on government grants for renewal energy technologies are available.
Further details and eligibility for these schemes, or any others that may be available to West Oxfordshire residents, are available from the United Sustainable Energy Agency, telephone 0800 512 012.
