BTCV Green Gym ProjectIf you fancy a bit of exercise but also want to get closer to nature then why not join a green gym? The Green Gym project, set up by the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers (BTCV) is run entirely by volunteers. To get involved, contact the group on 01608 643269 or visit the Green Gym website.
Community Action Groups (CAGs)CAGs organise events and initiatives to reduce, reuse or recycle waste, promote energy efficiency and decrease the carbon footprint of their community. CAGS organise Swap Shops throughout the year. Residents can bring unwanted, but usable household items to swap. Most of the swap shops also test electrical items, so that they can be taken for reuse. Most CAGs now also look at issues around climate change such as transport, food, energy, waste. If you are interested in setting up a CAG call 01865 815871 or visit CAG Oxfordshire.
