Flood reports and reviews

After the July 2007 floods the Council has carried out a full strategic flood review and produced the following reports:

Interim flood report
Produced in January 2008, this report outlines the emergency response, the recovery, and what is being done to prevent future flooding along with further steps to be implemented. This important first part is a vital component in the full Strategic Flood Review

Parish / Town Flood Reports
These reports have been prepared by qualified engineers in consultation with the key external agencies. They should be used to make sure that all the agencies involved - like the Environment Agency, Thames Water, Oxfordshire County Council, Town / Parish Councils and private land owners - work in true partnership for the good of everyone in the local community.

Please note that to try and reduce file sizes on the web, the reports have been divided into a Main Report and a separate document containing the Maps and Glossary. Both documents should be read in conjunction with one another for each Parish or Town.

Reports for phase 1

As the reports are a 'snap shot' in time as at the 31^st July and are designed to be dynamic, they may be revised to accommodate the results of the existing and future consultations. We will always ensure the latest version of all our reports are available on the Council's website and each report will be given a specific version number to avoid any potential confusion in the future.

Phase 3 (final phase) - available September/October:
Bladon, Cassington, Chadlington, Ducklington, Enstone, Fawler, Finstock, Fulbrook, Hanborough, Hardwick with Yelford, Kingham, Little Tew, Minster Lovell, South Leigh, Swinbrook & Widford & Taynton.

Please note that some of these files are large. It is not recommended that you attempt to download it if you have 'dial-up' or slow internet access.

Copies can be viewed at the relevant Town / Parish Councils.

Environment Agency: Flood Reviews 2007
The Environment Agency has investigated options to improve the level of flood protection and have produced the following reports.Their studies aim to outline the extent of the recent floods, record the damage and document the response.
