Roads and parking

Management and maintenance of highways is a function of Oxfordshire County Council, call 01865 815700.

The district council is responsible for the management of on-street parking in West Oxfordshire, as well as ensuring the smooth operation of the 16 free car parks we run.

Our aim is to keep traffic running smoothly on the roads and in our car parks and we employ a team of community wardens to help with this.

Our council acts as agents of the Highways Authority, Oxfordshire County Council, on the issue of parking and oversees the construction by developers of all new estate roads.

We also provide the following services in relation to roads, transport and parking:

• Providing and maintaining all street nameplates in the District.
• The naming/addressing of new and existing properties.
