The Council is responsible for providing and maintaining all street nameplates in the District. For new developments they are provided by the developer.
The Council has a standard specification for street nameplates, in keeping with the environment of the District.
If you have a query about a missing or damaged street nameplate, please contact your Parish or Town Council, who will consider your request and contact us. Requests for the repair or replacement of nameplates, or for additional signage, must come via the appropriate Parish or Town Council. We endeavour to repair or replace a damaged street nameplate within 10 weeks from notification.
For more information about street naming and numbering please see our House names and addresses webpage.
