Card Handling Terms and Conditions

Our Card Handling Terms and Conditions are set out below.

A certain amount of each credit or debit card payment is paid by West Oxfordshire District Council to Global Payments as a handling charge. 

The current card handling charges (w.e. 28th January 2011) are laid out below:

Card Type		Headline Rates
Credit Card	Visa	1.180%
Credit Card	Mastercard	1.210%
Debit Card	Visa	£0.200
Debit Card	Mastercard	£0.200
Debit Card	Maestro	£0.180

Added to the headline rates are the IDF rates which vary dependant upon the card type and method of accepting the card payment

With effect from 28th April 2008, West Oxfordshire District Council has been levying an administration charge on all payments made using a credit card to cover these bank charges.  This administration charge can be avoided by paying using a UK Debit Card.
