Question
What happens if I do nothing to unblock my drain?

Answer
Assuming the blockage or defect is on your drainage system, you and your neighbours are expected to act responsibly and clear the fault in your drain. If you do not deal with the problem, the Council can intervene to ensure the drain is unblocked. The Council will then clear the blockage itself and reclaim its expenses from you and your neighbours.
