Frequently asked questions

Question
Are there different types of applications?

Answer
Yes, there are a number of different types of planning applications. In a majority of cases people submit Full Planning Applications. However in order to establish if development would be acceptable in principle you can submit an Outline Application. If outline permission is granted you will then need to submit a Reserved Matters Application to seek approval for certain details of the proposed development.

There are also a number of special consents which may be required for a variety of other types of proposal including the display of advertisements and alterations to Listed Buildings.

For more information and advice on these and other application types please contact the Administration Team.
