Frequently asked questions
Question
What can I do if my planning application is refused?
Answer
A formal decision notice will be sent to you, or your agents, within a few days of the decision being made. This notice will include the reason(s) why your application has been refused.
You may wish to contact the case officer to discuss whether or not a revised application may be acceptable prior to considering an appeal.
Only the applicant can appeal against the decision of the planning authority. For more information on the planning appeals process and procedures contact The Planning Inspectorate on 0117 372 6372 or visit http://www.planning-inpectorate.gov.uk/.
