Question
Bus Pass 2008 - I currently have tokens can I change to a national bus pass
Answer
Yes you can. If you have already had your allocation of tokens for the year between April 07 and April 08 you may apply for your the national bus pass now. You need to visit the Town Centre Shop in Witney or the Guildhall in Chipping Norton for an application form, alternatively you can call us on 01993 861000. Alternatively if you are due to renew your tokens before April 2008 and wish to switch to the bus pass you can do so now. To guarantee you receive your bus pass before April 2008 you will need to apply before 1 February 2008.
If you take a bus pass you must keep this for at least one year and you will not be able to claim tokens again until your birthday the next year. For example if your Birthday is in January and you switch from tokens to the bus pass ready for April 1st 2008 you will not be able to get more tokens until January 2010. You will then only be able to switch back to tokens by waiving your right to the bus pass for a year and returning your bus pass to West Oxfordshire District Council.
