Woodstock pool open for the season

Woodstock's 25m outdoor swimming pool has opened for the spring and summer season.

The main pool has a diving board and a depth of 3.5m and is an ideal place for diving enthusiasts. It is heated to a pleasant 29 degrees. There is a separate paddling pool for toddlers and very young children. Modern showers are in the changing rooms and there are disabled facilities.

Cllr Hilary Biles, Cabinet Member for Health, Leisure and Tourism said, "Woodstock Pool has a lovely atmosphere and everyone is made to feel welcome. A café and grassed picnic area make it the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon with family and friends, or just somewhere pleasant where you can get away from it all."

Ticket prices are:

Adult season tickets: £90,
OAP and Junior: £65
Family season tickets (2 adults, 4 children): £220.
Daily entrance: £5.10 (adults), £2.70 (children), £15 (families), £2.20 (disabled), £2.00 (spectators).
Short sessions: £3.70 (adults), £2.20 (children and OAP's), £10.50 (family) and £2.20 (disabled). Free entry for under 3s.
The pool is also available for private hire at £90 an hour -including the services of two lifeguards.
