Discovering the benefits of being green

This month two special environmental events are being held in West Oxfordshire.

On Thursday 30 October (half term week) between 11am - 4 pm West Oxfordshire District Council is holding an Environmental fun day for children and their parents  at the Corn Exchange, Witney.

During the day families and residents can learn more about protecting the environment through fun activities, stalls, advice and support. You can:

  • Meet the 'Bin Raiders' superheroes in an engaging show
  • Enjoy other games and activities
  • Learn about energy efficiency, recycling and reducing your carbon footprint
  • See 'Oxfordshire from the Ground' - featuring art from local primary schools
  • Find out how 'being green' saves money
  • Enjoy a free cup of Fairtrade tea or coffee

For further information call 01993 861349.

On Wednesday 29 October between 6.30 and 9pm, there is a Climate Communities evening at the Witney Corn Exchange. Everyone is welcome to come along and find out how local communities are rising to the climate challenge and the support you can get to do the same. For more information visit: www.climatex.org email: jo@climatex.org or call: 01865 275 856.
