Artsmark & Specialist Schools Programme

Artsmark

Artsmark is an Arts Council England award which aims to:

encourage schools to increase the range of arts that they provide
raise the profile of arts education
recognise, promote and spread good practice on how to provide the arts in education
give young people in schools more opportunities to access the arts
encourage schools, artists and arts organisations to work together

Specialist Schools Programme - Arts

The Specialist Schools Programme helps schools, in partnership with private sector sponsors and supported by additional Government funding, to establish distinctive identities through their chosen specialisms and achieve their targets to raise standards. Specialist schools have a special focus on their chosen subject area but must meet the National Curriculum requirements and deliver a broad and balanced education to all pupils.
