Arts partners
West Oxfordshire District Council identifies the following arts organisations as key partners in the delivery of arts opportunities across the district and grant aids them through Service Level Agreements:
The Theatre Chipping Norton
Recognised as one of the regions cultural landmarks, it has been described as the prettiest small theatre in England. The building that houses the foyer and auditorium dates back to 1888, when it was built for use as a Salvation Army Citadel. Since its conversion in 1975, The Theatre has built a reputation for offering the best in drama, music and arts, with the highlight being the annual Christmas pantomime which draws dedicated fans from all over the world.
West Ox Arts
West Ox Arts is an artist led association which has a first floor gallery in the Grade II listed Town Hall in the village of Bampton. It offers regularly changing exhibitions of quality arts and crafts. Membership is open to all artists and art lovers. West Ox Arts also supports workshops and arts events in the community, a small exhibition space at Bampton Library, life drawing classes, theatrical performances and a literature group.
Oxfordshire Touring Theatre Company
Oxfordshire Touring Theatre Company (OTTC) creates theatre of integrity and quality especially for rural audiences and for young people. The programme of work strives to enrich the lives of its audiences particularly those with limited access to, and experience of, theatre. OTTC is a small scale touring theatre company based in Oxford and touring a high quality, varied, ambitious and dynamic programme of theatre to audiences in Oxfordshire, the South East region and nationally.
ITHACA
ITHACA works in Oxfordshire and Berkshire with disabled people including those with identified mental health needs, learning difficulties or physical and sensory impairments, and older people. ITHACA works to achieve equality of access within the arts; using arts processes to promote inclusion and change lives by offering people real and tangible opportunities to make their mark and contribute to the life of the community.
