Health walks
This scheme promotes walking for better health. It encourages anyone who takes very little exercise to take those first steps to a healthy lifestyle in an enjoyable way. All walks are supervised by trained Walk Leaders. None of the walks should take longer than one hour. Walking is the perfect activity for improving your health as it can:
Walk LeadersWalk Leaders plan and supervise every walk. They motivate and encourage other walkers, ensuring that no-one gets lost or left behind. Becoming a Walk LeaderAll Walk Leaders receive free 'Walking the Way to Health' leader training. This is a one day course emphasising the benefits of walking for health and how to ensure that this is undertaken in a safe way.
