West Oxfordshire Play Rangers

Play Rangers encourage children and young people to make more use of their local outdoor space. They provide free open access play sessions aimed at 5-16 year olds, giving them a chance to explore new challenges and have lots of fun outdoors.

Dates and times of sessions

Play Rangers are visiting:

Bampton - Pembroke Place Play Area - every Tuesday from 3.30pm to 6pm
Charlbury - Nine Acres Recreation Ground - every Monday from 3.30pm to 6pm
Eynsham - Oxford Road Playing Field - every Thursday from 3.30pm to 6pm
Stonesfield - Recreation Ground, Field Close - every Wednesday from 3.30pm to 6pm

Playdays

Play Rangers will also be at:

West Oxfordshire Playday - on Wednesday 1 August 10am to 3pm at The Leys Recreation Ground, Witney

How Play Ranger sessions work

All sessions are free of charge
Children are free to come and go as they please, this is an open access scheme
Parents/carers remain responsible for their children at all times
All ages are welcome (children under 5 should be accompanied by an adult)
Parents/carers are very welcome to join in
Play isn't always clean and dry, so wear something suitable
All Play Ranger staff are qualified and CRB checked
Sessions are due to take place in any weather but from time to time they may need to be cancelled or may finish early.

The Play Ranger project is managed by Oxfordshire Play Association and has received funding from a Big Lottery Fund grant obtained by the District Council and funding from Oxfordshire County Council.
