We promote the local area as a must see visitor destination and offer support to local tourism businesses, working to a three year tourism strategy. Tourism is worth an estimated £260.4 million to the economy of West Oxfordshire each year and supports 4,800 full time jobs.

Promoting tourism in West Oxfordshire

We promote the district as the 'Oxfordshire Cotswolds' through:

• a dedicated Oxfordshire Cotswolds website 
• a range of publications including an Oxfordshire Cotswolds visitor guide
• two Visitor Information Centres (in Burford and Witney) and a Visitor Information Point (in Chipping Norton) 
• participation in a number of marketing campaigns and initiatives 
• an Oxfordshire Cotswolds promotional DVD 

Supporting local tourism businesses

We provide a range of support and advice to local tourism businesses including:

• a dedicated industry section on our tourism website
• advice and support to new and existing tourism businesses
• providing tourism data and statistics
