New Build Shared Ownership schemes and resales

This page has details of current resales and new sales of Shared Ownership (Part Rent/Part Buy) homes in the District. To be eligible you will first need to:

Shared Ownership Resales

From time to time part-buy / part rent properties will become available as a result of existing owners moving further up the property ladder. These are known as "resale" properties. With the agreement of the Housing Association who owns the freehold, you would purchase the share owned by the present occupier for the open market value at that time.

There are currently two resales available.

Chipping Norton

A 2 Bedroomed coach house for sale on a shared ownership basis with Sovereign Living. The property is valued at £170,000. You will need to be able to purchase 60% which is £102,000. Witney

A 2 bedroomed ground floor flat for sale on a shared ownership basis with Sovereign Living. The property is valued at £159,000. You will need to be able to purchase 40% which is £63,600. New Build Shared Ownership Schemes

New build properties are those that are new housing schemes built for sale on a shared ownership or Discount Market Housing basis.

Carterton

Coming soon 2x3 Bedroomed houses and 2x2 Bedroomed houses and 2x2 Bedroomed flats for sale which are due for completion in March 2012.

The 3 Bedroomed houses have been valued at £215,000. You would need to purchase at least 50% which is £107,500. A rent of rent and service charge is then payable on the remainder. The 2 Bedroomed houses have been valued at £180,000. You would need to purchase at least 50% which is £90,000. A rent of rent and service charge is then payable on the remainder. The 2 Bedroomed flats have been valued at £155,000 and £160,000. You will need to purchase at least 50% which is £77,500 and £80,000. A rent of rent and service charge is then payable on the remainder.

You will need to have funds for a deposit, legal fees and mortgage arrangement fees. You will also need to be registered and accepted with Catalyst HomeBuy (www.catalysthomebuy.org.uk).

Combe

There are 2x2 bedroomed houses for sale which are due for completion February 2012. These are valued at £235,000. You would need to be able to purchase at least 40% which is £94,000. A rent of £293.75 per month is then payable on the remainder.. You will need to have funds for a deposit, legal fees and mortgage arrangement fees.
