The Thames Valley Community Messaging Service - helping to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in your neighbourhood!

Do you want to receive free crime alerts and information from the police regarding incidents in your neighbourhood?

Any residents can sign up to join the community messaging service and you can choose to receive the information via email or telephone.

Traditionally the system was used for neighbourhood watch members and it still supports these schemes so if you are interested in joining any of the watches below then further information is available on the Community Messaging website.

WHAT IS INVOLVED
Each scheme has a co-ordinator who distributes the information to their neighbours. However, with the new online system members can receive messages directly, therefore reducing the workload for the co-ordinator.

Schemes can be as small as a collection of houses or as large as a street, village or parish.

HOW TO APPLY
Either:

  • Download and print the form on the right-hand side of this page
  • Visit the Community Messaging website and register online
  • Telephone the regional administrator Danielle Hilton on 01993 861640 who will send you an application pack

Looking Out, published 3 times a year, features articles on the work of the Safer Communities Partnership, watch scheme news and crime reduction information.
