Council tax benefitCouncil tax benefit can be awarded to help with payment of your council tax liability. This is a means tested benefit which takes into account your income and savings as well as your council tax liability. If you are responsible for paying council tax and are single, or if you have an adult living with you who is not disregarded for council tax purposes and doesn't pay rent, you may be able to claim Second Adult Rebate.
