Funding and grants

The Council operates a range of grant schemes to support local organisations and individuals which are listed below. The Council also subscribes to Grants4.info which allows the public to search a very comprehensive online database of external grants and sources of funding. Leisure and Tourism Grants:

Arts Achievement Award. To assist individuals to further their artistic ambitions.
Arts Higher Achievers Award. To support people achieving excellence in the arts in West Oxfordshire.
Heritage Support. For voluntary museums and local history groups. To support local heritage.
Individual Development in Sport, Active Recreation and Play. To help with funding towards coaching qualifications.
Lottery Support. To assist clubs and organisations aiming to gain National Lottery Funding by contributing to the partnership element of their application.
Outdoor Recreation and Play Facilities. For councils, committees and groups to develop their facilities.
Sports Achievement Award. For individuals to support their development of sports talent.
Sports Higher Achievers Award. To support people achieving excellence in sport in West Oxfordshire.
Sport and Active Recreation. For sports clubs, playing field management committees, and similar voluntary organisations.
Support for the Arts. To support groups involved in arts activities.
Village Halls (Minor Scheme). To contribute towards small scale improvement costs to existing village halls.
Village Halls (Major Scheme). To contribute towards new build or major refurbishment of village halls.

Housing improvements:

Disabled Facilities Grants. For adaptations to homes occupied by disabled person.
Housing Assistance Grants. For repairs and other measures for owner occupiers and private tenants.
