Before April 7th, 2008 applications made for help with payment of rent were calculated for Housing Benefits. This has now changed and applications are calculated for Local Housing Allowance (LHA). However, existing applications will not be changed to LHA until there is a change of address.
If you have an existing application this section will give you details about your entitlement.
The section is split into 6 pages.
This page describes how your application was assessed.
In certain circumstances it is possible to backdate your application to take into account a period before making your application.
This page details what might count as a change in circumstances, how to report them and what happens if a change is not reported.
In some circumstances the council is able to award additional one-off payment to help in exceptional circumstances. This page gives explains how this happens.
This page gives details about the levels of income and capital that will affect your application.
If you have other people living in your house this could affect your application. This is explained on this page.Go to My West Oxfordshire for all your local information or view all online services
