Building Control Customer Charter
We aim to ensure the delivery of safe, healthy, accessible and sustainable buildings for current and future generations.
We will:
- Be helpful, courteous, prompt and efficient in our responses.
- Make the process of applying for approval, as simple and as easy as possible.
- Give free advice at design stage and preparation of applications.
- Check submitted applications within 21 days.
- Inspect relevant work on site and provide a 'same day' site inspection service for calls received before 9.30am.
- Issue a 'Completion Certificate' on satisfactory completion of your project.
- Provide easy to understand information in a suitable format.
- Investigate any dangerous structures reported.
If you are not satisfied:
- We will tell you how to complain.
- We will deal with the problem fairly.
