The Local Development Framework (LDF) will set out the spatial planning strategy, policies and proposals for West Oxfordshire. Ultimately the LDF will replace the West Oxfordshire Local Plan adopted in 2006.

When will the LDF be prepared?

The latest Project Plan, the West Oxfordshire Local Development Scheme (LDS), was approved in September 2009. Preparation of a Core Strategy and Site Allocations and Development Management Documents are proposed. Submission of the Core Strategy will not take place until late 2010.

Monitoring

Local Planning Authorities are also required to produce Annual Monitoring Reports to assess implementation of the Local Development Scheme and the extent to which policies in local development documents are being achieved.
