Chipping Norton Neighbourhood PlanChipping Norton is the first community in West Oxfordshire to commit to undertaking a Neighbourhood Plan, a document which will outline how the Town will develop over the next 15 years. In accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations (2012), Chipping Norton Town Council applied for area designation to West Oxfordshire District Council in April 2012. A Public Notice announced the application of the area designation, the boundary of which follows the Chipping Norton Parish Boundary, giving a consultation period on the area designation for 6 weeks until 28 May 2012. One comment was received from the Cotswold Conservation Board which was in support of the Area Designation. Chipping Norton Town Council's Area Designation was formally determined by West Oxfordshire District Council's Cabinet on 12 December 2012.
