Local Development Framework (LDF)
The Local Development Framework (LDF) will set out the spatial planning strategy, policies and proposals for West Oxfordshire. Ultimately the LDF will replace the West Oxfordshire Local Plan adopted in 2006. The LDF, together with the Regional Plan, will form the statutory Development Plan.
When will the LDF be prepared? The Project Plan, the West Oxfordshire Local Development Scheme (LDS) was first approved in 2005 and was revised in 2007. Preparation of a Core Strategy, Site Allocations and Policies Documents are now proposed during the period up to 2011. The detailed programme agreed in 2007 is being reassessed in response to the Government's latest PPS12.
