Planning PolicyThe Planning Policy section is responsible for preparing various plans and strategies to help guide future development such as housing and employment in West Oxfordshire. Local Plan 2011The current over-arching plan for the district is the West Oxfordshire Local Plan which was adopted in 2006 and covers the period up to 2011: Local Development Framework (LDF)We are in the process of replacing the Local Plan with a series of documents, collectively known as the 'Local Development Framework' or LDF: Draft Local Plan (Previously 'Core Strategy')The most important LDF document is the new Local Plan which sets out an overall strategy for the District over the next 17 years: National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF)The NPPF was published in March 2012 and sets out the Government's planning policies for England. The NPPF must be taken into account in plan-making and in determining planning applications.
