Regularisation certificate charges

IMPORTANT NOTE: Fees updated from 1st April 2008

Contact Building Control on 01993 861430 for further information or see 'Regularisation Certificate Charges' in the downloads section to the right of the page.

Where the owner of a property wishes to make an application for a Regularisation Certificate under the provisions of Regulation 21 of the Principal Regulations, they must submit with the application the appropriate charge prescribed by the above Charges Regulation.

The amount of the charge is an amount equal to 120% of the total plan charge and inspection charge, had the plans been deposited in the usual way.  H M Customs and Excise do not require the payment of VAT with the regularisation process.

The charges are determined by the type of work carried out, type of premises, estimated cost etc and fall into three categories.
