How waste and recycling is collected

Weekly recycling and food waste collections

Our crews collect your recycling and food waste into separate compartments at the side of the truck.

We can collect your recycling mixed from your black boxes so you do not need to sort your recycling into different boxes but it is helpful if you separate glass bottle and jars into one of your boxes.

Our crews will leave a sticker on your recycling box if it contains something that they cannot collect. For more information on what can go in each bin / box see our:

Collections from flats

We collect recycling from flats and communal properties across the district in mixed recycling vehicles. These have two compartments to separate the food waste from the recycling and our crews will use red wheelie bins to gather the items.

Fortnightly garden waste and rubbish collections

Collected on alternate weeks, garden waste is taken to a site near Chipping Norton for composting and household rubbish is taken to an Energy Recovery Facility in Ardley.
