Refund and cancellation policy for internet transactions

For goods and services being bought from the Council's website:

  • Where the Council fails to deliver in line with our standards, then a full refund will be made
  • The credit / debit card used for the payment will be refunded
  • This will be done as soon as possible but within 14 days of the refund being agreed by the Council
  • Cancellations will only be refunded at the discretion of the Council
  • If the cancellation is agreed by the Council, the customer must take reasonable care of any goods already supplied by the Council until they are collected by the Council
  • If the Council agrees to a refund following a cancellation, then this will be carried out in line with the above.

Where the Council agrees that a refund is due for Council Tax, Business Rates or another payment not  covered under the list above, then:

  • The credit / debit card used for the payment will be refunded
  • This will be done as soon as possible but within 14 days of the refund being agreed by the Council.
