Street trading

Streets fall into the following designations for street trading:

  • 'Consent' - street trading may take place but a license is required
  • 'Prohibited' - all street trading is prohibited
  • 'Not designated' - street trading may take place - no specific license is required but all other regulations (eg food hygiene) must be complied with

Apply for a street trading licence

You can apply for a Street Trading License to trade on a "Consented" street by:

Farmers' markets

Farmers' markets run from 8.30am to 1.30pm:

  • Charlbury - quarterly, second Saturday in the month (March, June, September, December)
  • Chipping Norton - third Saturday of every month
  • Witney - fourth Friday of every month
  • Woodstock - first Saturday of every month

Farmers' markets in West Oxfordshire are run by the Thames Valley Farmers' Market Co-operative.
