Local authority search

We are no longer providing a local land charges search (LLC1) service. From Thursday 13 April 2023 HM Land Registry will provide search results for local land charges searches in the West Oxfordshire District. For more information visit GOV.UK. We will continue with the CON29 service.

Enquiries of local authorities (2016)

CON29R - used to request information held by a local authority about a property. The local authority may provide information that could affect future use or development of the property, or impose financial burdens, replies to which will normally be expected in any conveyancing transaction.

The CON29O - additional questions that may be selectively raised by the buyer, if felt appropriate in a conveyancing transaction.

You can get this information by:

  • completing the relevant CON29 Forms (these are available from your solicitor or from Oyez Forms)

For more information on the conveyancing process, please see:

You will need to send us the relevant CON29R or CON29O forms, depending on your requirements, along with a site location plan. This should be Ordnance Survey extract (scale 1:1250 or 1:2500) clearly outlining the search area in red.
