Black box recycling

Free black recycling boxes are provided to all households in West Oxfordshire and are collected weekly.

Please ensure that your recycling boxes are put by the kerbside by 6am on your collection day. For legal and safety reasons, bins must be removed from public paths as soon as possible after collection.

Excess recycling

We will collect excess recycling in bags alongside your black box. If you have excess recycling please:

  • Sort your excess recycling into separate clear or carrier bags rather than black sacks
  • Leave in open carrier/clear bags (not black sacks) at the side of your black box
  • Put glass in your black box or in an open cardboard box rather than in bags
