Salt Cross Area Action Plan re-opened examination 2024
Overview
Because of the legal challenge to the Inspector’s report of March 2023, the AAP examination has been re-opened to consider Policy 2 – Net Zero Carbon Development and any other consequential revisions to the AAP. No other matters or policies will be examined.
For ease of reference, all documentation relating to the re-opened examination will be made available on this page.

Latest news and updates
7 May 2025
The Inspector has published her Matters, Issues and Questions, Guidance Notes and a draft Programme for the hearing sessions. These can be viewed on the Hearing Sessions page and in the Examination documents at ED11 through to ED13.
16 April 2025
The hearing sessions have now been arranged and will take place virtually on Monday 30 June 2025 with a reserve day on Friday 4 July 2025. Further information on the hearing sessions will be published in mid May.
1 April 2025
The Council has submitted its response to the Inspector’s initial questions set out in her letter of 7th January (ED7). The response can be viewed in the examination documents at ED9 through to ED9E inclusive.
5 February 2024
The Council have responded to the Inspector’s letter of 7 January 2025 (ED7) and their reply can be read at ED8 in the Examination Documents.
10 January 2025
The Inspector’s reply to the Council’s letter requesting a pause in the Examination is now available at ED7 in the Examination documents.
21 November 2024
The Council wrote to the Inspector requesting a pause in the Examination and their reasons for this request. Their letter can be viewed in the Examination documents at ED6.
